2020-06-06 17:53:13

Amenorrhea:  is the absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age. Outside the reproductive years, there is absence of menses during childhood and after menopause.

Menstrual periods occurring at intervals of greater than 35 days, with only four to nine periods in a year.

Excessive menstruation, and lasts for a long time

Dysmenorrhea: is pain during menstruation. Menstrual pain usually occurs during menstruation and also occurs before the beginning of menstruation. Menstrual pain usually occurs in the pelvis or lower abdomen; other symptoms may include back pain, headache, diarrhea and nausea.

The treatment plan is personalized. Usually, we recommend that patients start treatment one week before the beginning of menstruation.  It could be treated with acupuncture, also it may be necessary to cooperate with chinese herbs treatment. Acupuncture treatment requires three times treatment a week (in the first week, more than three trimes treatments are recommended), after the end of menstruation, acupuncture treatment can be decrease to once (or twice) a week. Symptoms (pain or other discomfort) can be improved after several treatments and end after three consecutive cycles of improvement.

For patients which one is not convenient to have acupuncture treatment in order, Chinese herbs treatment is also a good choice.
